Anyone who thinks of small talk when they hear the word “weather” doesn’t know KNAPP well enough.
For us, the weather is much more than a topic of conversation – it is a real energy supplier, a comfort factor, and an important part of our sustainability strategy.
How does this all fit together? We take a look at sun, climate, and energy at KNAPP:
☀️ Solar power: Our solar system provides clean energy
Since the beginning of the year, our solar system has already achieved impressive 250 megawatt hours (MWh) of electricity produced – and around 100 tons of CO²₂ This not only actively contributes to climate protection, but also covers most of our own energy needs with green energy directly from our own roof. A true solar plus for the environment and the company!
❄️ Air conditioning: Not a luxury, but part of ergonomics
For us, pleasant temperatures in the workplace aren't just a convenience extra – they're part of a healthy and productive work environment. Heat stress not only reduces concentration but can also be detrimental to health. Our modern air conditioning systems therefore ensure ergonomically sound conditions in offices and production areas year-round – and do so with the greatest possible energy efficiency.
⚡ Electricity for e-mobility: Sustainable travel
We also focus on sustainability on the way to work: Anyone who comes to KNAPP with an electric vehicle—whether employees or visitors—can conveniently charge their vehicles on-site. Our e-charging infrastructure is an integral part of our mobility concept and a further step toward a low-emission future.
Conclusion: Weather that works
Whether it's solar power, air conditioning, or e-mobility – at KNAPP, we don't just harness the weather; we actively shape a sustainable working environment with it. And that's definitely more than just small talk.
